Capital City Active is an athletics club based in Pretoria CBD and Gauteng North in general. It was established in 2014. A relatively lifestyle entity where its membership was affected by Covid-19 but with great optimism we will grow our membership again. In partnership with City Of Tshwane Athletics Club, we have pioneered an initiative of celebrating the City by hosting the only 60km giving elite runner’s last long run of the year.

The event will take place in December 16 which marks Day of Reconciliation on our calendar and makes it an official Public Holiday each year.
- Every year since 1995, 16 December reminds us of our commitment to reconciling our country.
- It involves the renewal of relations, forgiveness and making amends after disagreements.
- By celebrating Reconciliation Day, individuals and communities can honor the values of compassion, equality. Using sports, arts, and culture to celebrate the 30th year of democracy is important for several reasons.
- Running has the power to bring people together, foster a sense of unity and national pride, and
promote inclusivity and diversity, allowing individuals to share their experiences and perspectives. - Sports events can promote teamwork, healthy competition, and physical well-being, the talent and dedication of athletes.
- Furthermore, using arts and culture to commemorate democracy can serve as a reminder of the values and inclusive experiences that resonate with people from all walks of life.
